Second grade students are incredibly active. A typical 7-year-old needs to be able to move about every 25 minutes. When a student is sitting at a desk and chair for a 7 hour school day, this is too much for a second grader to handle at a time. Flexible seating gives students the ability to choose, move more freely, and collaborate while engaged in learning. By having the option to use wobble chairs, students can learn to make decisions based on what is most advantageous to their own learning. Students will also be more able to easily collaborate with one another, as these chairs are light and easy to move. These wobble chairs would be beneficial to so many of the students in my room, and I know they would greatly appreciate them! Thank you for your consideration in helping our class!
