The items in my project will be put to use daily in my classroom. I have requested these items because STEM is a huge part of education. My fourth grade class is full of creative children who love to learn as they participate in hands on activities. Unfortunately as a first year teacher I am not able to buy the supplies that they need. The donations in my project will allow my students to develop problem solving skills and encourage their creative abilities as they participate in STEM activities. By providing hands on learning, students will strengthen their hand eye coordination skills as well as their cognitive development. When the clock strikes 11:10am my students light up with excitement because they know it is time for STEM. I want to have the supplies I need so they can fully benefit during this allotted learning time. Lastly, the books and other supplies I included in my project will help to expand my students' literacy development as they engage in our everyday activities. All students deserve an equal opportunity to learn and these donations will allow my students to engage in activities to support their individual learning needs. As a first year teacher, I am not able to fund my classroom to accommodate my students needs. This project will help support students to build skills to be lifelong learners. Thank you!
