Currently, I am using an old laptop to provide virtual instruction to my 4 year old preschool students. They are eager to learn but their attention span is limited due to their age and disabilities. However, I have been able create a variety of dynamic virtual interactive lessons to hold their attention. The challenge I have is actually using my virtual lessons of slides and videos during the virtual lessons. My current laptop has a difficulty time handling the virtual load, and I have to limit what I can display during my lessons. My pre-k students are intrigued and excited to see stimulating lessons. They light up when they see letters and numbers dance across the screen. A MacBook will allow me to provide my inclusion prekindergarten children with virtual lessons that can handle the digital dynamics needed to hold their attention and keep them excited about learning.
