AP biology has a lab requirement that must be met. While we have been using many online simulations these do not replace the physical labs that often spark the interest and love for science in my students. I am looking to obtain these lab materials in order to carry out the Transformation lab with our genetics unit. This will allow them to transform the bacteria so that they glow under UV light by the incorporation of the plasmid. Many of these students have a desire to receive college credit and deserve the chance to challenge themselves with a complex college level lab experience.
