3rd Grade is the first year students at our school learn to write in cursive, so this is a new skill for all my students and since they are beginners they will need a great deal of practice before they become proficient at it. By having cursive workbooks it will make it a lot easier for my students to practice at their on pace and review previous taught letters if they need a quick review. Using workbooks keeps all the students practice organized and it one place so it would also be convenient if we have to go back to remote learning due to Covid. Finally, the use of workbooks allows both students and parents to continually see the progress being made.
