I wish to use these texts to allow students to work in small book clubs to explore important societal issues. I will have them work in groups of 4-5 to read and analyze the texts, as well as apply them to the real world. Now, more than ever, it is critical for young students to be prepared to enter the diverse world that we live in. I hope to help them think critically and tackle big issues through the power of literature. These texts will help with exploration of identity and society.
