Having access to this book will give my students the opportunity to learn history that is relevant to where we are today as a country. This is history that isn't available in their regular textbooks, and yet affects their lives daily. Stamped is written in a format that carries so much truth in a concise easily digestible format, and reading it will create better informed, more thoughtful citizens. My AP Language class will analyze the rhetorical strategies used in this text as well for a deeper understanding of rhetoric, argument, and the power of language.
