Not only is it safer to hold outdoor learning this year due to the pandemic, but an outdoor classroom allows students the opportunity to study nature and science in the field. These picnic tables will be another step in making our outdoor classroom a reality. Some lessons planned for the spring of 2020 include students analyzing water quality samples from local waterways and documenting biodiversity around the school campus. The outdoor classroom will be a lasting part of our school and will be used for years to come. An outdoor classroom space opens up many opportunities for students that would otherwise be unattainable.
