My students are proud of their diverse backgrounds, cultures, and communities. In our classroom, we celebrate and learn about others. Incorporating a diverse library into my classroom shows all students that they belong and that they are appreciated. The books in this project include characters that represent a variety of cultures. My students will love to see themselves represented in the literature in our classroom. Flexible seating options will allow my students to explore their love of reading at a safe distance from their peers. The Lakeshore seats and cushions will allow my students to get up from their desks and sit safely in areas of the room as they read.
