My students need hands-on experiences in making music to fully explore their creativity. While they have rhythm sticks and maracas, there are few other instruments besides the ukulele that can offer such a complete musical enjoyment with just a strum. Ukuleles make music accessible to all. Ukuleles are a great way for my students to learn songs, create their own music, and showcase their ideas. We will play a variety of songs both familiar and new and compose new music. Playing the ukulele will build students' imagination, community, relationships, and self-confidence. And, playing the ukulele can be loads of fun.
