Technology is a staple in today's society, with fluency in a variety of technological platforms being an expected skill to be able to demonstrate in the work force. Unfortunately, my students have not been afforded opportunities to experience much technology. Allowing my students to practice using technology daily through the Osmo and Power Pen as we continue in-person learning, I would enable them to improve their coding, math, and reading skills, as well as learn different ways technology is used. I want my classroom to foster an integration of STEM in combination with our standard curriculum to prepare my students for future career endeavors. Students will not only improve their math, coding, and reading skills with the Osmo and Power Pen, but will have fun in the learning process! My students love a challenge and will be able to work on their problem solving skills with Osmo to code a path, or run their own pizza company. They will also improve their fact fluency and reading comprehension through repetitive practice using the Power Pen. My students have already made so much progress this year as we have introduced coding and other forms of technology, and I know they will continue to grow even more with these new technological opportunities.
