These kits will continue to enhance the STEAM classroom curriculum that I currently teach. My classroom is a place where all the students work as engineers, mathematicians, artists, tech gurus, and scientists. Each student is given the opportunity to take part in experiments and come to their own conclusions about the topics at hand. The kits have been chosen with my students in mind and the materials will help them be able to study and experiment with alternative forms of energy. The hands-on portion of this will help them continue to enjoy both independent and collaborative learning. With these wind kits, my students will be able to explore an alternative form of energy and how it can impact our daily energy needs. They will also be able to supplement these kits with online research and classroom discussions. The best way to increase the public's understanding about alternative forms of energy is to have hands-on activities that the students can learn from and take home to discuss with their family and friends. My students already have shown an astonishing ability to think deeply and critically about topics. This project will only help enrich their experiences with our STEAM curriculum.
