In this age of technology, I want to give my students quality experiences with materials that will strengthen their hands as well as their minds. Using hands to hammer objects helps them have a stronger grip. This helps to hold pencils for writing later on. Being able to match a lock to a key and open it takes planning, helps with number recognition. Building with new materials gets their minds thinking about engineering their own creation. All of these materials are exciting and engaging to young learners like my preschool students!
