The students that I serve love to express themselves by using very bright and bold colors. During the lessons they listen and answer questions that are asked related to what is being taught and when it is time to complete their assignment or activty, they always ask if they can do it in color and of course I tell them yes. I believe that by allowing them the choice of how to complete their assignments provides an opportunity to remember what was taught as well as how to use it later!
