I want to help my students create a reading habit, and in order to do so, I need titles that reflect their own culture as well as titles that tempt them to explore a new perspective. A good book can be an escape, a refuge, and a bridge, and most importantly, a good book can remind us of our humanity and the humanity of others. I am a passionate reader and want to cultivate this passion the best I can with high-interest book titles that students will want to dive into.
