We had a parent build a puppet theater for the Drama class and we need puppets. From kinder through 12th grade, this theater will be used not only for casual play, promoting improvisational conversations between the puppet characters, but we will also write. So often, students that find it difficult to speak will open up when pretending to be a character. These puppets will help them open up, explore their creativity while collaborating with classmates. Each age group will use this opportunity in ways that ease them into performance. It is common knowledge that public speaking is high on the list of things to fear. Puppets are a wonderful segue to helping build confidence in young performers. An invaluable skill set for life!
