Building relationships with students is paramount as a teacher, but as we've continued distance learning - it remains a key challenge. Students have devices to work from, but their spaces are not set up to be a classroom. Many are hesitant to speak up because of issues with audio feedback loops or background noise. Having a headset will encourage more interactivity in class as well as helping students communicate with others outside of class, and listen to videos and music independently. This simple technology tool will make a world of difference for students (and their families) as it will provide an individualized learning environment, limit distractions, and help our online classroom feel a little more connected.
