Playing card and board games, isn't all "fun and games". Playing board and card games is also a chance for students to learn social, math, and literacy skills while in the library during their free time, during lunches, and before school. Having these games on hand will also encourage our students to visit the media center more frequently. A key feature of the games selected is that they are all no-tech, so students are off screens and engaging with classmates. Some games requested will help build literacy skills. Other games will help with math skills. All of the games will help with social skills (conflict solving, compassion, teamwork)!
