These materials would help make an impactful difference in my students' learning by supplying them with greater access to physical instruments in the music classroom. Most of my students have not participated in a music class before. Currently, students have minimal physical instruments in the music classroom, and our school has not yet built a steady music program due to our lack of resources. Therefore, I believe these ukuleles would provide a fulfilling opportunity to get students actively engaged to learn creatively and collaboratively in the music classroom.
My students in grades K-8 have demonstrated a strong interest to play physical instruments in our music classes, as we've mostly explored virtual instruments due to access. Supplying students with the opportunity to create live music using these ukuleles would heighten student engagement and create meaningful and authentic musical experiences. Scholars in all grade levels, K-8 would benefit from this project and be positively moved and inspired in the arts. As their music teacher, my goal is to supply students with musical experiences that leave them feeling inspired, creative, and positively engaged, and I believe these ukuleles would be the perfect way to bring excitement into their music-making experiences.
