Our school is a Title I school with a diverse population. More than 70% of my students receive free and reduced lunch. Many of the families have or are experiencing financial distress. During these times, it is important to try to give students a since of normalcy with seeing a familiar and caring face while they are learning. As I use Google Meet to deliver instruction, I am unable to see students while I project my screen to show them information. While students are learning, I use their facial expressions to draw conclusions about their learning. Their facial expressions can give me clues if this is an "aha!" moment, they are perplexed, or an "I got it" moment. Seeing students with this second screen will help me heighten their learning.
