It is our hope to provide the basic right of communication to our students. As many of you know, in education, we are often faced with budget cuts. AAC is expensive and securing extra funds for things like this has been especially difficult this year. Additionally, insurance companies often do not cover these devices, and if they do, it can be a very long and arduous process. Your help in purchasing AAC apps would allow non-speaking students a way to communicate their wants, needs, and ideas. It will provide a teacher with a new and effective way of including his/her non-speaking students in class. It will allow a parent or caregiver to hear their child speak for the very first time. As stated by Janie Light "Communication is the essence of human life." Please help us, help our kids!
