Art is a great way to express one's self while learning about yourself and the world. Students who explore art build confidence in themselves and develop lifelong problem-solving skills. A student can be creative and think outside of the box when creating art. I think painting can be calming and help to develop a sense of self-worth. Studying other artists and their stories and methods can open up a student's eyes to different perspectives and cultures. Working on a canvas will give students the ability to feel like real artists while continuing to develop confidence in themselves.
