All of these resources will be used to enhance intervention practices for intermediate level elementary students that continue to find reading a challenge. Most of these students find their biggest barrier to learning at the same pace as their grade level peers to be reading fluency because of continued difficulty with word de-coding and vocabulary development. Having some of these resources at the higher grade levels will make this intervention process more fun and engaging. When students enter the intermediate grades, they must utilize their reading skills in order to develop knowledge in other content areas. Without continuing to build their reading skills at this level, they are being set up for many challenges as they continue throughout their school career.
