Many of my students are below grade level in reading and lack the confidence they need to pick up a book that they may deem "too hard". I want to provide them with books in class that have been proven to be effective at catching their attention and help build up their confidence they need to be successful. I'd love for them to be able to go into my classroom library and find an amazing mentor text to enjoy. They have opportunities to go to the school library but that seems to be a bit overwhelming for them.
