The Story Champs Kit provides a structured, research-based framework for students to develop and practice narrative skills. They will use the stories, illustrations and icons in the kit to develop their comprehension strategies by: practice inferring, using context clues for vocabulary, identifying story elements, retelling stories, making personal connections and creating personal narratives. The Story Champs Kit will increase the effectiveness of therapy for my students' language goals and support their reading, writing, math and communication. Story Champs has a range of complexity to help my students, whatever their current narrative skill level may be. It will also continue to help future students with these language needs for years to come.
