This sensational sensory safe-place is going to benefit all of my students throughout the day. At the drop of a hat one of my students can go into a complete sensory overload melt down. When this happens I want to have a specific and safe place for them to retreat to. Many of my students need a place to "escape" their anxiety during the day. These beanbag loungers would help them immensely. My students need to feel safe and secure. They need to know that they have a place to go when they are feeling overwhelmed and anxious. Providing this place for them is my goal in this project. In giving them this place to go it will lessen the distraction to other students remaining in my classroom.
