We all know, printing can be a hassle. Especially, finding and fighting for a computer early in the morning in the teachers lounge. I have found that I am almost forced more often times than not to print at home. I am currently using a dated HP inkjet printer and the ink cost is out the roof. I find myself changing ink every 3-4 weeks at about $30 dollars a cartridge of ink. This has taken a dent in my wallet over the last few years. I am looking for support to purchase an ecotank printer. After looking through multiple teacher forums, I have found this is the best printer for the buck as far as ink goes. This printer would allow me to print 7500 black and white pages before the ink runs out. This would allow me to print out the supports needed to help my students gain access to the general education curriculum. There are cheaper ecotank printers available, however, as a special education teacher I need one which has all in one capabilities such as faxing, scanning, etc. as far as IEP work goes.
