Currently, I have retrofitted my Ipad to function as a document camera. The students sing the lyrics to "Frozen" daily to alert me that even though I'm teaching and writing, my doc cam only shows my frozen blurry hand in mid sentence or mid equation. The interruption breaks the students' precious concentration that is already in short supply with distance learning. I need to go through about 4 steps to restart my doc cam and resume my lesson. To be able to effortlessly move from my Zoom screen to my doc cam without delay or freezing will enable my students to engage with the material and increase their attention and comprehension. Distance learning is full of uncontrollable distractions, a functioning doc cam is something I can control and would be overjoyed to provide for my students.
