I am a first-year teacher in the year of COVID-19. I am lucky to have the best students who are caring and open-minded. Due to virtual learning taking place off and on, I do see students who may not have books at home that are their level. These students who do not have books at home, tend to read at a lower level. I would use my library builder items to send home appropriate levels for my students while having just-right books in my classroom library as well. Then, when they come back, they can feel like a reader just like everyone else.
