Despite the new challenges that my students are navigating in the face of Covid-19, they have returned with a hunger for reading. My favorite thing about my class is how open to reading new literature they have become since access to books has become limited for many of them as libraries still remain closed. This project will give students access to a Holocaust novel which will expand their knowledge of the tragic event in history. Holocaust education is so important and students get Holocaust centered education during their eighth-grade year.
