It is important that my students be prepared for the technological society of the 21st century. Our school district is heavily promoting computer science education this year. The books that I am requesting will greatly support our computer science curriculum as well as enhance our technology section of the library. These fiction and nonfiction books will be used for lessons that will introduce students to many of the computer science curriculum's topics. My students will also benefit from reading these books independently at school or at home. These new books will create a lot of enthusiasm and excitement about computer science concepts amongst my students as well as build a good foundation in computer science which is essential for today's students. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that introduce and teach them concepts related to technology, computers, coding, digital citizenship, and STEM. My students will truly become responsible digital citizens and problem solvers of the 21st century.
