Phenomenon based learning requires students to investigate their predictions. The next step is for students design their own experiments to find answers. Students choose which experiments to conduct and continue from there. Accurate measurements are essential in a laboratory experimentation. Electronic scales help students learn how to measure using various units. They also can test their abilities by comparing their readings on a triple beam balance to those on an electronic scale. Finally, while providing as many hands-on experiences as possible students are demonstrating their knowledge rather than using pen and paper tests. Having electronic scales are a time saver during these practicums.
