To read a book that you truly connect with can have lasting effects and lead to a life-long love for reading, which is exactly what I hope to accomplish with these books. Having these books in our classroom library will continue to encourage my students to strengthen their reading skills while reading something they truly enjoy reading about. Not only will my students have access to their favorite books, but they'll also be able to see books in their own classroom that they can relate to and take pride in. Books that speak of their culture and personal experiences, to give them hope that maybe one day they too can become a writer!

About my class
