Communication involves using symbols (words, gestures) to achieve a purpose. When we say, "I want cookie," we get a cookie. My students need to learn this cause and effect relationship. My students are working on pressing switches to activate a toy. My students are also working on choosing between two switches. They need a variety of toys in order to maintain their motivation. My students are motivated by music, lights and fun toys. I appreciate your assistance in teaching my students to learn these communication skills. I am excited to help them develop their language.
