I am a first year teacher! I have a very strong passion for teaching. It has been been a dream come true to have a classroom of my own. There are twenty-eight students in my second grade class. They are a diverse group, ranging in skill level from kindergarten to third grade. My students love to learn! If you walked into our classroom, you would see how joyful, busy, engaging, sweet, challenging, and exciting our days are. Our school, located on the southwest side of Chicago, serves about 400 students in K-8th grade. We are 98% low-income.
