Art lessons will be created digitally in the classroom. My students can create abstract pieces from referenced artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Romare Bearden, or Picasso. One group will create their work choosing mediums of their choice such as markers, crayons, or colored pencils. The other group will create their work digitally on the iPad. Then they will switch. There will be a written reflection form included in the lesson so they can record their artistic journey, along with their personal perspective. Their works will be displayed on the walls in the hallway and posted on the school's Twitter page.
