Students will be able to choose seating options that allow them to work comfortably and effectively. Individual cushions will be used during independent reading to move to a quiet space where they can focus. The cushions will also be used during partner work, allowing students to work comfortably with their partner. The pie ottoman, aside from being a great introduction to fractions, will be used along with a small table to create a sensory break space in the room. Students will have access to that space whenever they need it, to help create a calm and safe learning environment. The space will also work as another area for a small group to work.
