As a first-year teacher, I am teaching in unprecedented times. This pandemic has required me to congruent teach, meaning both live and virtual teaching at the same time. School budgets have been cut because of the pandemic leaving even less for classroom teacher budgets. I am searching for help to give my students flexible seating. Research shows that flexible seating helps students stay focused and alert. Students are required to keep socially distanced in the classroom. This limits movement for my students. Flexible seating allows them the movement their brains require to access the information and engage in their learning. Engineering activities such as the marble set and the tiles will give my students opportunities to grow and learn using problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Thank you for taking the time to consider giving to my students. I know that they will be grateful for any help.
