High interest books can motivate struggling readers by providing books on topics that their peers are reading, but targeted toward their reading level. High interest books can help build reading fluency, vocabulary, background knowledge and interest in reading. As students are learning in a hybrid or remote setting they are often not getting the opportunity to visit a library to check out their favorite books. I intend to put these loved titles in the hands of students. My hope is to encourage our students to find their love of reading.

About my class
