Pictures in a textbook or researching images online only engage students passively; however, collecting, viewing, and drawing what is naturally unseen in the world around them will provide exciting lessons for students . It may also spark interest in the medical field or bio engineering field. The more hands on our science classroom becomes, the greater the impact on learning! We have spent weeks on learning about process skills and how important observation is. These microscopes will add a dynamic and possible "learning for life" changing dimension to "observing" as the device reveals the unseen world.
