These books will be used in classroom counseling lessons, small groups, and on an individual basis as needed. The librarian and I are also working on putting a "counselor corner" in the library with social-emotional learning books. Often, a book can help a child work through some of their thoughts and feelings. Books help us make sense of the world around us and learn about people and places that are different than us. We have as many as 20 different languages represented here. I hope to have more books that highlight the beautiful diversity in our world and in our school. As a school that promotes good character and literacy, we want to make sure we're putting books into their hands that promote those concepts, too!

About my class
