Many of our students come from homes that have plenty of love, but very few financial resources to match their level of commitment to their children. The headphones will be an invaluable upgrade that allows them to talk and listen hands free. They will enjoy a greater level of freedom that allows them to focus more on their learning and less on the technology. The fraction tiles offer our students real world manipulatives that will help the struggling learners better visualize this core concept. And with so many of our students lagging academically, the millions of resources offered through Teachers pay Teachers will give both the parents and the students an opportunity to work together at home. Finally, the sketch pads, out of reach for most of our students, will give my students a sense of pride and ownership, while at the same time, foster their awareness as burgeoning artists.
