The pandemic hit when my students were in 1st grade. That is an extremely important year for reading and emotional skills. They have been struggling, but are pushing on.
In my cart, you will find items that will fill in the gaps of my student's phonemic awareness and phonics skills. I have Pop-its for segmenting and blending words, dry erase puzzle pieces, Elkonin boxes, charts and flash cards to teach and practice phonic skills.
I have a printer and ink to print off fun and engaging resources in the ease of my classroom. Things that can be laminated and used year after year. I also have storage items to keep everything that I am doing organized and make lessons flow with ease from day to day.
You will find lots of high interest books to keep my students excited to read and put their skills to the test. I also have books to integrate with my writing instruction. There are also some emotional wellness books to help students who are struggling to process big emotions.
You will also find some office spaces to give students the space and privacy they need to work on their own or to complete a test without distractions.
