Having a range of graphic novels allows for all of my diverse students to find something they may enjoy. My students don't have access at home or a desire to want to read outside of the classroom. However, I've increased the amount of graphic novels in my classroom this year, and I've seen a shift in students checking out books from my classroom library. Adding these additional graphic novels will allow for my students to have different genres to choose from. I believe that there is a book out there for everyone. In my experience, graphic novels appeal to a large audience, specifically my reluctant readers.
