We currently have no microscopes. I have been able to find pictures of slides for the students, but they have lacked the experience to manipulate the slides and materials themselves. In middle school we have multiple standards that go into the microscopic level and it is a great experience to prepare and view slides that have been chosen by the students themselves. Being able to manipulate materials is a very important part of science, and in middle school it is a great way to get students engaged. I want to help keep the students' curiosity piqued and having a microscope that has an LCD display will help that process.
