My students come from an area where there is a lot of crime. There are many broken homes in the neighborhood. On top of those things, my students have learning disabilities. Not one of my students learns in the same way. I want to be able to have more options for the kids to learn from. The counting bears will help my students who need help learning to count and to learn about 1 to 1 correspondence. The addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division devices with the talking pen will be another way they can engage with those math operations. The same with the Magna-Tiles, they are not just fun to build with but can also be used to teach about geometry. Some of my kids also have sensor needs and in order to meet some of those needs, a change in seating options is necessary. They need Balance Balls.
