Each week, the materials for art projects, hands-on learning, and family activities are counted out and delivered by a teacher to the student's homes so that they have the necessary supplies on hand to use during our daily zoom lessons. For example, we send the children construction paper, glue, and crayons for art projects. The children are given cubix or counting chips to use when we are performing the hands-on math activities that require them to count items or use them to create a shape. We use the dry-erase boards to practice our letter of the week or writing our names. We also use the pencils and lined paper to write stories or trace letters, shapes, names and scribbling. The children use the lacing materials to improve their fine motor skills and the alphabets for letter recognition. Because we offer hands-on, interactive learning it is essential that the students have the required materials to participate. Having these items in front of them allows them to opportunity to better learn and retain the lessons.
