Students will use notebooks and pencils to keep a math journal. They will use scissors and glue to put notes in their journals. Students will have lots of practice opportunities on dry erase sheets that can be cleaned with alcohol wipes, which are in high demand! My kids need the basics. They are super bright and want to learn. I've found ways to engage them in learning, but they need basic tools to work with. Many of my students are from very poor families and need every opportunity to beat the odds. These kids are bright and this year I have the biggest advanced group I have ever had - over 40% of my students! 6th grade math is where students either flourish or start falling behind, and I want every one of them to see success!
