My students require specialized attention and individualized support. I am always on the hunt for programs or activities that will benefit my entire class while also hitting key needs. Osmo is a program that connects to an iPad or Kindle Fire. The program comes with manipulatives students use and connects directly to the iPad or Kindle Fire. This is a key component in integrating both technology and manipulative learning. Because the manipulatives and technology are flexible in the curriculum, Osmo allows me to teach students with a wide variety of needs. It will also allow my students experiences they typically wouldn’t get within the classroom. Because my students mainly come from low-income households, Osmo would give them a new and better experience of learning! Students will use Osmo in small group interactions with me as well as the ESE specialists that come into the classroom and will give students a new look at learning I wouldn’t be able to provide otherwise!
