Our classroom is so special. We are a pre-school attached to Brooke High School. Although, we are not an ordinary Pre-K Room! We teach students who have been diagnosed with autism and 3-5 year olds with developmental delays. Most of our students are non- verbal, which means that they are unable to verbally communicate with us. This project is necessary and essential for our sweet students, in order for them to continue learning through this devastating time in our world. The pandemic has left us all with challenges. Our pre-schoolers have had to adapt to constant schedule changes and COVID-19 guidelines. We do not want them to have to change their learning experience also. As of now, we have no means to teach our students virtually. We want to use these iPads for them to be able to engage in their learning on an every day basis. We are also a poverty-ridden area and our parents would love to be able to give their children a tool that they can use each day to learn .
